Getting started

What is Rogue Rally?

A Twitch community where viewers and streamers support each other. You earn points for real support (chatting, subs, gifts, Bits and raids) in Rogue Rally channels, climb the season ranks and spend points on rewards.

How do I join?

Log in with Twitch or Discord. If you use Discord, link your Twitch account in Settings, because points come from what you do on Twitch.

Do I need to watch for hours to earn?

No. Rogue Rally only rewards things Twitch can confirm: chat messages, subs, gifts, Bits and raids in approved channels. We don't track watch time and never guess it.

Does it cost anything?

No. Joining and earning points is free. Subs, gifts and Bits are optional and go to the streamer as usual.

Points

Why do some streams give more points per message?

Chat points are decided by the streamer's rank: a message in a Master streamer's channel earns 8, in a Bronze streamer's channel 3. Live now shows what each stream pays.

I chatted but didn't get points. Why?

Repeats, very short messages, bot commands (starting with !) and rapid-fire messages don't count, and each channel has a limit of 50 rewarded messages a day. Points also only come from approved Rogue Rally channels. Your dashboard shows every point you got.

When do limits reset?

Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC. Monthly limits reset at 00:00 UTC on the 1st. The raid limit for the same channel is a rolling 24 hours.

Why does a raid need 90 minutes of streaming first?

So nobody goes live just to raid and collect points. Raid points are flat: they don't depend on how many people you bring.

My first sub hasn't shown up yet.

Twitch can't always tell a first sub from a returning one, so a moderator checks first subs before the points arrive. It can take a little while.

Are points worth money?

No. Points have no cash value, can't be traded, and can only be spent in the Rogue Rally rewards catalog.

Ranks and seasons

Does spending points lower my rank?

No. Rank compares the points you earned this season with everyone else's, so it can move as others earn, but spending only changes your spendable balance.

Why did my rank go down?

Ranks are percentages of the community, recalculated every few minutes. If others earn more than you, they can move ahead. Supporting a few streams is the way back up.

What happens at the end of a season?

Your final rank is saved and your season points get a partial reset: Master and Diamond lose half, Platinum, Gold and Silver a third, Bronze a quarter. Spendable points and your all-time total don't change. You'll also get your Rally Wrapped card for a limited time.

What is Rally Wrapped?

A shareable card of your season (your title, rank, points, top streamers) that appears on your Dashboard for a limited time after each season ends. Download it as a post or a story.

Streamers

How do I add my channel?

Just log in with Twitch: that connects your channel at the same time (Twitch asks permission to read your chat, subs and Bits events). Logged in with Discord, or chose not to connect? Use "Connect your channel" on My channel. Channels are approved automatically once you reach Silver rank (an admin can approve earlier), and are then hooked up to Twitch straight away. See the Setup tab for every step.

Why am I not on the Live now page?

Streamers show on Live now once they reach Silver rank. If you're Silver or higher and still missing, your channel may not be approved yet, or a moderator hid it for this stream (for example if you were away from stream).

What's in my weekly report?

Every Monday you get last week's numbers on your Dashboard: supporters (new and returning), chats, raids, your top supporters and a few tips. It only counts Rogue Rally members.

How does the Path to Affiliate / Partner tracker work?

Your Dashboard has a Growth tab. If you're not Affiliate yet it tracks Twitch's current requirements (25 followers, 4 hours, 4 different days, and 3+ average viewers on 4 different days in the last 30 days). If you're Affiliate it tracks Path to Partner (6 streams on 6 days averaging 75+ viewers, in the last 30 days and the 30 before). It's an estimate from what Rogue Rally sees; your Twitch Creator Dashboard is the official count. When an admin adds you to the Affiliate or Partner push, your progress also shows on Live now so the community can help (you can still switch that off).

What are Headliners?

Each month, streamers nominate another streamer and say why, and the whole community votes. The winners are featured the following month.

Account and privacy

What do you store about me?

Your public Twitch profile (name, picture, bio), your Discord name and picture if you link it, and your points history. No passwords, and no watch-time tracking.

Can I hide from leaderboards?

Yes. Turn off your public profile in Settings. You'll still earn points; you just won't be listed by name.

Can I change the colours of the site?

Yes. Settings → Appearance has several colour themes. Your choice follows you to every device.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete account. Your profile and links are removed. A record of past point transactions is kept without your name, because it's the audit trail for the shared points system.
